About Us

My name is Louise and I live in Pinhoe, Exeter with my husband Pete. My husband and I have been married since 1995 and we have a daughter named Annabel. My daughter works as a paramedic in Kent and sometimes visits Devon whilst on holiday.
My home is Ofsted inspected and has a well equipped secure garden to the rear. I offer a homely environment where diversity is accepted and I aim to meet every child’s needs as individuals. My setting has plenty of restriction free, street parking where you could leave your car and hop on a train or a bus to your place of work. The train station and bus stops are approximately 2 minute walking distance from my home. At my location there is good transport links to Sowton, Exeter City Centre and the main Paddington Line.
I have a dedicated playroom and provide good quality toys and equipment to help meet your child's developmental needs. We have a local library and many parks, which provide variety, constant stimulus and the opportunity to explore nature. I offer a loving and caring environment and hope that while your child is with me that this is their second home.
I have worked with children of all ages and I am registered on the Early Years Register, the Compulsory Register and the Voluntary Childcare Register. I believe in good education and promote an ethos that learning is fun. I also encourage early reading skills.
I provide a vast range of activities such as baking, creative arts and crafts, music and movement, reading, maths and English early years, water play etc. I also offer lots of other activities approved by Ofsted that meet EYFS standards and the national framework for Early Years education.
I provide the right materials to encourage learning to allow child initiated play, so that children are motivated and engaged. The children have an understanding that we are all different but have the same feelings. They are encouraged to build friendships and to treat each other as equals. Negative behaviour is always challenged and the children develop an understanding of how we all should be treated. This helps with social and emotional well being, diversity, self-confidence and positive behaviour in the setting.
Pip ‘N’ Squeak Childminding Service is a home where your children are treated like my own. The setting is fully safeguarded to help encourage learning and development through exploratory play and discovery. My food is freshly produced, meals are balanced and special diets are available on request. Pip ‘N’ Squeak Childminding Service provides childcare you can trust, where every child is valued and respected, within a loving family atmosphere.
